I Know A Guy

Local tradespeople we recommend

Plumbers, electricians, HVAC, and more. Vetted on real job sites across our service region.

I Know A Guy is Bel Covo’s directory of local tradespeople we recommend by territory, and we did not build it to look generous. We list only plumbers, electricians, HVAC techs, roofers, framers, painters, and other trades we have actually worked next to on real projects across Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas. Nobody buys a listing here. Each territory page shows the tradespeople we would call ourselves.

A referral only works because it transfers trust that took years to earn, and the phrase “I know a guy” carries that weight whether the guy deserves it or not. Concrete anchors a build site from day one, and the finished floor is one of the last surfaces a homeowner or facility manager will touch for the next twenty years, so the tradespeople working the weeks in between have a direct effect on what that floor becomes. Between the slab pour and the finished polished floor, dozens of tradespeople pass through, and Bel Covo crews work next to every one of them. We notice who shows up early and who blows through the schedule. We notice who leaves the job site cleaner than they found it and who leaves a mess for the next crew to deal with, the kind of thing that never makes a sales pitch but tells you everything. We notice who still picks up the phone six months later when something needs a second look. That is the only filter on this list: years on a job site, not a marketing budget.

The people on these pages earned that mention. Nothing fancier than that.

Frequently asked questions

How does Bel Covo choose which contractors to recommend?

We only list tradespeople we have worked alongside on real projects. They show up on time, leave the job site cleaner than they found it, and stand behind their work. Years on a job site is the filter.

Are recommended contractors licensed and insured?

Every listed contractor whose trade requires a state license carries that license at the time we list them. The state portal link on each territory page lets you verify any contractor's status yourself.

What trades does Bel Covo recommend contractors for?

Plumbing, electrical, HVAC, roofing, framing, painting, landscaping, fencing, concrete removal, excavation, and general contracting are the categories we encounter most often on Bel Covo projects. Each territory page lists only the trades for which we have a vetted contractor in that region.

What states does Bel Covo's contractor directory cover?

Oklahoma is the home territory. Bel Covo crews also work projects in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Mississippi, and Texas, and we add territory pages as we build genuine referral rosters in each region.

Can I suggest a contractor for this list?

Yes. Send a note through the contact form with the contractor's name and what they do. We track every suggestion. When that contractor turns up on a Bel Covo project we will be paying close attention.
