Privacy Policy

Bel Covo respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. We keep things straightforward because we believe you deserve to know exactly what happens with your data.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

When you use our quote calculator or contact form, we collect the information you enter:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Project details (square footage, service type, location, and other project specifications)
• If you upload a floor plan, we keep the file and the room measurements we read from it, so the plan stays attached to the location it describes.
• If you tell us you are outside our current service area, we collect the name, email address, and zip code you enter so we can let you know when service reaches you.
• If you apply to become a Bel Covo operator, we also collect your company name, years of experience, portfolio link, and the state you want to serve.
• If you submit a review, we collect your first name, last initial, city, the service you had done, your star rating, the text of your review, and an optional email address. We do not keep your IP address. We keep a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of it instead, which is enough to stop spam and duplicate submissions without ever holding the address.

Customer portal accounts

Our customer portal lets you save quotes and locations between visits. It is optional, and you can get a full price from our quote calculator without ever creating an account. If you do sign in, we use Google sign-in, and Google shares exactly three things with us:

• Your name, used as the display name on your account. You can edit it.
• Your email address, used to reach you about your quotes and the work they cover.
• Your profile picture, shown in the site header while you are signed in.

We do not receive your Google password, and we cannot read or write anything else in your Google account, including your email, contacts, calendar, and files.

Inside your account we store the locations, rooms, measurements, floor plans, and quotes you create. They are visible to you and to Bel Covo, and to nobody else. We may reach out about a quote you saved without sending it, because a saved quote is usually a project someone is still working through, and that is exactly when a question is worth answering. Sending a quote to us is what puts it in front of a crew; saving one does not. To delete your account and everything in it, email info@belcovo.com.

Information collected automatically

We use an outside analytics service to understand how visitors use our website. It collects:

• Pages visited and time spent on each page
• Device type, browser, and operating system
• General geographic location (city or region level, not street address)
• Referral source (how you found our site)
• Searches typed into our on-site question box, so we can write answers to the questions people actually ask. We remove anything that looks like an email address or phone number before storing a search, and we never use these searches for advertising.

Cookies

Our site uses functional and analytical cookies only. We do not use advertising or ad tracking cookies. See Section 5 for more detail.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information you provide to:

• Respond to your inquiries and project questions
• Generate accurate quotes for concrete flooring and coating services
• Keep your saved locations, measurements, floor plans, and quotes available to you between visits
• Contact you about a quote you have built, saved, or submitted, by email and, if you gave us a phone number, by phone. A phone number you enter here is not used to text you; see Section 6
• Send you occasional information about your project type or our services, which you can opt out of at any time
• Improve our website, content, and services based on usage patterns

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We do not use it to build advertising profiles, and we do not enrich it with data purchased from anyone else.

Every marketing email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also stop all contact at any time by replying to any message or emailing info@belcovo.com, and we will honor it without asking why.

One honest exception to the promise above, because every company that says "we never sell your data" has it whether they print it or not: if Bel Covo is ever merged with or acquired by another company, customer records would transfer with the business, the same way your signed proposal and the workmanship warranty on your floor would. That is a change of ownership, not a sale of your information to a marketer, and this policy would go with it.

3. How We Store Your Data

Quote submissions, contact form entries, reviews, customer portal accounts, locations, rooms, floor plans, and saved quotes are all stored on secured servers in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is limited to authorized Bel Covo team members.

4. Service Providers

Running a website takes outside help. We use service providers to host the site, deliver it quickly and safely, block bots and abuse, measure traffic, read the floor plans you upload, and carry the forms and emails you send. Those providers may handle your information, including technical details like your IP address and browser, but only on our instructions and only to provide the service we hired them for.

None of them get your information for their own marketing, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it to anyone.

5. Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. Our site uses two kinds:

• Analytics cookies: track anonymous usage data such as page views, session duration, and traffic sources. These expire after up to 2 years.
• Security cookies: used for bot detection and site security. These expire when you close your browser.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any form of ad tracking. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not prevent you from using our website, but analytics data will not be collected, and the customer portal needs its sign-in cookie to keep you signed in.

6. Text Messages (SMS)

How you opt in

Three ways, and you start all three. We do not buy phone numbers, and we do not text people who have not asked us to.

• You tick the text box on this website, on our text signup page at belcovo.com/text-alerts/ or when you ask about a quote. The box sits under a phone field you fill in yourself, and it is never ticked for you. We then send one message asking you to reply YES. You are not signed up until you reply, and if you never reply we do not text you again.
• You text one of our numbers, including (888) 852-3528. Texting us is your permission for us to text you back about it.
• You ask us to text you on a call or in a voicemail. Before we send anything, you get the disclosure below.

Giving us a phone number without ticking that box does not sign you up for texts. A phone number alone, on a quote request or anywhere else, is a number we call, not a number we text.

What we tell you before we text you

When you ask us to text you on a call, we say this and wait for your answer. When you asked in a voicemail and have already hung up, our first text carries it instead:

"This is Ron with Bel Covo. We would only text you about your project, and it is not a subscription. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Terms: belcovo.com/terms Privacy: belcovo.com/privacy"

Only a yes counts. If you say no, or say nothing, we do not text you.

What we send

A person at Bel Covo answering the conversation you started, about your own project. We send no marketing texts, no promotional offers, no sales campaigns, and no newsletters. The only message we send automatically is the one that asks you to confirm a signup.

Frequency, cost, help, and stopping

• How often. Message frequency varies. It depends on the conversation you started and how much back and forth it takes.
• Cost. Message and data rates may apply. Those are set by your mobile carrier, not by Bel Covo.
• Help. Reply HELP to any message for help. You can also reach us at info@belcovo.com or (888) 852-3528.
• Stopping. Reply STOP to any message, including the first one, and we stop texting that number. Reply START if you want them again: that does not sign you back up on its own, it asks us to send the confirmation message one more time, and you are signed up only when you reply YES to it. Opting out does not cancel your quote or your project. We use email or the phone instead.
• Never required. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of any purchase. You can price your job, hire us, and have the work done without ever agreeing to a text.

We never sell or share your mobile number

We do not sell, rent, or share mobile phone numbers or text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with anyone for marketing. The only outsiders who touch a mobile number are the messaging and telephone providers that carry the message to your phone, and they act on our instructions alone, exactly as described in Section 4. We keep your mobile number and your texting preference the same way we keep the rest of your information, described in Section 3. The matching terms are in Section 7 of our Terms of service.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request access to the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate information
• Request deletion of your data from our systems
• Ask us to stop contacting you, for marketing or for anything else, including by text message
